Information regarding the results after mediation on the Industry Agreement

Use the right to vote! This year's collective agreement is crucial for workers in Norway. After three lean years, in which price inflation has increased more than anyone had predicted, we had to put in place a salary increase that is reasonable. The assignment was clear: We were to increase purchasing power.

In this settlement at the Industrial Agreement, we have achieved a strong financial result which gives our members a solid improvement in purchasing power. We have a good low wage supplement, a historic increase in the offshore supplement and more paid trips home for those who work on assignments where accommodation is necessary.

We also went to the negotiations with demands for a skills reform that would give skilled workers the right to continuing and further education. We are proud to have reached a solution together with the employer. The result will give the right to paid time off to study, and relevant and good educational offers will be made.

This is about giving the individual worker the opportunity to develop, gain new knowledge and new skills. At the same time, the companies are ensured competence for restructuring, the green shift, technological development and competitiveness.

We will hold a ballot on 7th of May. The negotiating committee of Fellesforbundet unanimously recommends voting yes to the proposal. I hope you will familiarize yourself with the results and exercise your right to vote.

With best regards

Jørn Eggum

  • The teko-part is given an additional supplement of NOK 3,50 per hour with effect from 1st of April.

Competence

The most important thing for the future is that we have laid the foundations for a skills reform for working life. The reform will both give us good and relevant training offers and secure the income for those who take part in courses.

There is now agreement on the establishment of both a tariff fund and an offer structure for courses. There are still more elements that need to be put in place - but there are clear commitments to both direction and finances.
